From his early days leading school and church choirs in Hector’s River to writing his very first song at age ten, his journey has always been fueled by a deep spiritual purpose and the vibrant pulse of Jamaican heritage. Cario’s music isn’t just about uplifting melodies, it’s about living a message.

Cario Young, whose birth name is Ricardo Young is a very talented and creative Singer, Songwriter and Producer who hails from the parish of Portland in Jamaica. Cario grew up in the small community of Hector’s River on the border of St. Thomas and Portland. He attributes most of his lyrical concepts to his experiences growing up in a Christian home where church was mandatory. Cario is extremely passionate about truth, mental wellness and spiritual alignment.

His passion echoes in every track, whether it’s the electrifying energy of “Increase My Faith” or the dynamic collaborations on hits like “Undefeated” and “Steady.” His resonant mantra, “Don’t take JESUS out of the focus,” underscores an unyielding commitment to blending modern gospel innovation with time-honored values, creating a sound that is as transformative as it is unforgettable. His latest release powerfully captures the tension between following habitual cycles and the
relentless desire for transformative change.

Educational Background

Cario Young is a proud graduate of the Happy Grove High School in Portland.

He furthered his education at the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons.) in Human Resource Management. He later persued a post graduate Diploma in Marketing at the Humber College in Canada and is now persuing a Masters in Business Administration from the University of New Brunswick.
